KL Kopites, Liverpool’s official supporters club in Malaysia, have landed in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) after successfully displaying 1,278 jerseys at the 1M4U Sentral in Puchong today.
Falken as Gold sponsored at the event. As the global official partner, Mr Cham Soon Kian, CEO Of Stamford Tyres Malaysia and his Marketing team were at present witness the history in the book of records, to become the first (supporters’) club in Malaysia to enter.
Also present at the event was football legend Datuk Santokh Singh, FA of Malaysia head of referee unit Kassim M.K. Kadir Bacha, and MIC Youth leader Datuk Sivarraajh Chandra. MBOR deputy general manager Mohamad Alex Andrew Jamuh Abdullah was there to verify the record for the most number of Liverpool football club jerseys display.
Liverpool FC TV (LFC TV) is aware of the event and has requested footage of the event to be aired on its official platforms.
The jerseys, on loan from various Liverpool fans all around Malaysia, were numbered, labelled and laid on the floor, according to the contributors and were dated as far back as 1965.
